Dearest Gee.

Got your swell Dec. 9 and 11th letters today. Sure am glad you got straightened out with the mail. I didn’t think I deserved that bawling out you gave me. Take it back? I try in every way to fulfill your requests but it doesn’t look like the prospects are very good. One of them has already been taken care of tho. It isn’t as easy as you seem to think.

Tell Francey to take care of himself and little Billy too. What is it —an epidemic of the flu going around. You look out you don’t get it too. Hope Billy had a nice birthday but it doesn’t sound as if he did.

I expect Joe will be sent a long ways from any fighting. Is he trying for an officer job over across?

Haven’t received any packages yet but I think they have them for us. You were right in a lot of your guesses. I sure love you.

So long now.
