I’m having the same trouble with your mail as you are with mine. Namely, I just don’t get any from you. Get them from everybody else tho. Yesterday I got two packages, one from the Crofts and one from Dad. Es + Harry sent a box of chocolate and some package candy and dad sent three cartons of cigarettes done up in a box. Also got a letter from Mildred C. yesterday and a letter from Mom + Coe today. Got another package today from Mildred C. with an ocarina in it! Have been wondering for a long time what she meant by telling me in a letter she was sending something that I could keep or throw away. Guess that was it. I’m not sure I can master it as my leisure time in sho’ limited. Appreciate the gift anyway so tell her thank you for me. Got a couple Liberty magazines I’ve been giving the devil to also. You’re going to have to get use to those lulls in the mail. That’s a common occurrence. My work is easing up a bit now. The Captain made a couple more corporals so now they are going to catch a little. Lee was a made a straight Corporal and Hoffman a T/5. I have three corporals tho for my section. Holtorf, Merha, and Perry. Don’t run around much with the carpentry gang anymore. Close is a T/4 now too and has his section so I don’t see him very much either. Give me the good old days.
