Somewhere in France.

Dearest Gee.

Long time no letter, honey, but I sure can’t help it. It’s just another one of those things you’ll have to put up with. Don’t get discouraged, honey, we’ll be together again sometime soon as the other war can’t last too long. I don’t know how long I’ll be over here or whether I stay here or what the hell but I sure would like to be with you. It seems like it’s been ten years since I last saw you. I sure hope Chick gets home at least. And Erv too. They both deserve to come home.

I’m enclosing some pictures that I took. I don’t even remember the names of some of the places myself. These are a couple pictures of the Rhine river, Moselle river, Seine river; in one you can see the Eiffel Tower in the distance, some of Liege, some of Aachen, some of Paris. The one of me was taken in Paris. I may not be able to get them all in this letter, if not I’ll put some in the next.

I don’t have my writing equipment with me so I had to scrounge this. The other letters will have to be v-mails.

I haven’t heard from you in so long I’m getting antsy pantsy again. Think the last letter I had from you was your April 16 don’t remember for sure. Has Sis and Eli had their baby yet? Hope everything turns out as expected. I’m sure anxious to get some letters.

I have a new APO number now. Again I have to ask you to pass it around. It’s 544 now. The rest is the same.

Sure hope you are okay. Are you still taking treatments. You haven’t mentioned it lately. I’m okay and you can quit worrying about the shells and all that goes with it. I’m thankful for that much anyway.

I want to dash off a v-mail to Mom and one to Erv if I can. I guess two pages is the best I can do at present. I’ll write whenever I can, kid. Be patient and I’ll see you later. Remember I still love you and miss you as always.

So long now

Snook
