Dearest Gee.

Managed to find one of your old letters I had kept so I’ll use that as a topic of conversation. You mostly talked about babies that were born or being born, or on the way. Don’t know how I’m going to write about that, but here goes. I remember about how Jack and Hilah having theirs. It was too bad they had a boy baby, wasn’t it? That’s the way it goes tho. Most people would give their right arm for boys — and they wanted a girl. Sounds like everyone is having babies. Should be quite an increase in the population.

Will sure be glad when we [redacted] get [redacted] some mail. So far, I am getting along fine and in good health. The chow is good too. In fact, I expect we’re eating better than you, huh? All except for the tables to sit down to.

Should see all these sights, kid, if it wasn’t for a war going on it wouldn’t be too bad at all.

Hope this finds you all okay. Take care of yourself and don’t worry. I sure love you and miss you.

So long now.
