Dearest Gee.

We finally got around to having a mail call. I received your letters of October 28, two of them, one of Oct. 29, and one Nov. 8. Also got one with the [redacted] of Aug. 13 from you and one of them from Mom. I got three from Mom and one from Chick, and one from Sis. The one from Chick was dated Oct. 11. Was glad to hear from all of you. I haven’t had a chance to write and probably won’t very often but don’t worry. There is a lot of work to be done. This is sure [redacted] I am still okay tho and feeling fine.

So your gas heater went on the blink! Never a dull moment huh? How much did that set you back? Have you paid the taxes yet? I mean those individual taxes. If they want a note let me know — maybe they’ll get one in a month or two.

I’m glad you’re getting some good out fo your new coat. Don’t let the men folks admire it too much. Got it? I think I’ll wear the same coat I did last year. The one with the altered buttons. Remember?

So Orpha thinks you look worried and blue all the time. I should think everyone would look that way more or less nowadays.

Guess this is all for now, kid. Be good and I sure love you and miss you.

So long now.

Snook

More mentions of that fur coat in this letter.
