Dearest Gee.
No letter long time. Got a letter from Mom today and that’s all for the past couple of days ago. What can the matter be. Guess you can forget about the fountain pen. When I went to see Chick he gave me a swell Shaeffer pen and pencil set that a fellow had given him. Will try to hang on to this one. Chick was just here again. We managed to fill him up with an egg sandwich and bacon garnished with pork and beans, and a cup of coffee to wash it down with. We were talking about everything and anything. He brought me another batch of jokes that the girl who works in Kirhaus (?) sent him. Suppose you have cut out the picture in the February 22 issue of Look magazine. It’s all about their work. He hadn’t heard about Mr. Chick dying so I gave him your letter to read. I’d like to pay him another visit but we’ll have to see how things work out. You just can’t do everything you want to. You talk about sending home souvenirs. I was pretty lucky to get to send home that one package. Just got under the wire. Suppose you’re happy and sorry now that Linda has gone back. It should be a relief to you. Guess I’ll put in another request for some candy. Can you manage it. Would like to have it. Ran clear out of room so, I sure love you and miss you. Be good.
So long.
