Dearest Gee.

Well, I’m back down to v-mail again. Haven’t got any more air mail stamps so it will have to be these for awhile. Didn’t get any letters yesterday but I wrote everyone that I owed one to. We got a partial pay today. I received the equivalent of twenty-nine seventy four. I’d just as soon they had kept it awhile longer. Maybe it would have drawn interest, suppose? I’m still sweating out your packages. Could sure use some cookies or candy bars about now. If they don’t get here pretty soon I’ll take off and look for them. Yeh! I wrote Jack and Hilah and Vic Wimmer yesterday and Mom. Didn’t write you as there wasn’t a thing new to tell you. Is Harry going to really become a lawyer or is that going to be a side line too? I get a big kick out of their letters. I own them one too. Thought I was all caught up. Well, how does the news sound from your end, kid? It’s liable to be a tough old fight yet. Keep the lamp in the window and the door unlocked. Sure love you and miss you.

So long now.
