Dearest Gee.

Santa Claus arrived early this year. I got four packages from you. Candy bars, marshmallows, and peanuts. I don’t know who had the most fun, the fellows with me, or me. They got just as excited as if they belonged to them. We sure do thank you, kid. Also got a letter from you date Aug 14 and two cards from the DeAtleys. Nice time to be getting those, isn’t it?

I wouldn’t worry too much about film now unless you just happen to run across some. Guess we can get it over here. I had one guy get me a roll and Douglass one. Hope I can send you the pictures soon. Haven’t got back my other roll yet. It will take a few days more. I have eight rolls on hand now.

Jack and Hilah sent me a birthday card and the other one was from Jackie and Mary Karen.

The description you gave of how the bathroom is sounds okay. Must have been a lot of work and I’m glad I wasn’t there. My present home is done in brown mostly. Sidewalls are of stone and ammo boxes and a corrugated steel roofing effect. The very latest style.

Jerry is sending over his morning greeting. There will be a slight pause here.

Haven’t heard from Mildred for quite some time. Is she mad on me? I’ll be glad when I can cut out all this letter writing and you can too. I’d rather talk.

Sure love you, honey. Miss you like everything. Hope I see you soon.

So long.
