Dearest Gee.

Well, honey, no mail for two days now. Sure hope I connect tomorrow. We got paid tonight so I’m in the dough again. How are you fixed? Have you got the fifty yet? I’m going to try one more time to get some souvenirs but don’t think I’ll have much luck.

It’s going to be hard to write a letter tonight as I don’t have anything to write about.

Had a good shower today. Really makes a guy feel good. Sounds like I don’t take one very often, don’t it?

I wrote Erwin Hanson a short letter the other night. Thought it might help a little. He must not be hit bad as everyone thought. He had evidently just received the news about him becoming a father. Sounded pretty enthused about it. I told him I’d like to get ahold of one of those “baby” furloughs. Or should I have said that.

I saw Close and Douglass both today. Didn’t get to talk to them very much. Close had been in the hospital with a case of frozen foot. Just had one spot and it’s okay now. Lee and I went to see him once.

I’m enclosing some negatives of Nice that I’ve had for a long time. Meant to send them before but always forgot it. I’ll send home a few at a time as I’ve got quite a few of them yet. How did the others come out? Did you have them enlarged?

Hope everyone is okay at home. Be sure and tell me how everyone is getting along. How is your back coming along?

Guess this will be all for now. I sure love you and miss you.

So long now.
