Dearest Gee.

Guess the mail is slowing down again now. I just got a letter from Chick telling me about him being in the hospital with yellow jaundice. You told me that in your last letter. He said Paul Wilson was in to see him. Also told me he hadn’t been to Nancy yet but had hope of it. He was kinda peeved because they had been relieved and he had to spend it in the hospital. He also sent me some more jokes that someone had sent him.

I think this stationary is some that Mae sent me for Christmas. Kinda fancy, ain’t it?

I’ve been debating with myself on whether I should write Erv a letter or whether he owes me one. I’ve forgotten who wrote last. I don’t have anything to say anyway.

Had a pretty good dinner today. Roast beef, mashed potatoes, corn, gravy, and rice pudding for dessert. They had a tea to drink so I didn’t take any.

I think somebody told me Claudie was going to have all his teeth pulled. Or was I dreaming? Did he ever have it done? I think dad would feel better if he had his out too.

Where are the termites working now, honey? Creosote is about the only thing to really drive them out. They are really tough to get rid of.
Still have my bottle of coke, kid, and the weinies, haven’t eaten them yet. But the will power is getting weaker.

Sure do miss you, honey. Hope this war ends soon so we can be together again. Love you like everything.

Be good. So long.
