Dearest Gee.
Honey, I received that very fittin (?) pen today. It came through in fine shape and I sure do like it. You must have got quite a bargain. I’ve been showing it around and have had about a half a dozen offers to buy it already. Don’t worry, I sure don’t intend to peddle it. Sure hope nothing happens to it now. I’ll sure try to take care of it. I didn’t get any mail today but got a long letter from Sis yesterday and a nice Easter card from Thelma and Ed Morris. They used my old address too, by the way.
Did you ever get the Dec. 29 Yank I sent? If not, I have another one I could send. I know you told me you got one of them but never did hear whether you got the other.
There is one guy here who would like some of this stationary. I’ve been giving some away to some of the fellows for souvenirs. I notice in the latest Yank magazine where Chick’s outfit got a nice write-up. I suppose he will be sending it home. Hope he does anyway.
I’m having quite a time writing this. I’m laying down this time and is it ever uncomfortable. I should write Erv and tell him the new APO but don’t think I can hold out that long.
How is your legs and back getting along? Hope okay. Well, kid, I’d better stop for now. Thanks a million for the watch. I sure love you and miss you.
So long now.
