Dearest Gee.

Just finished sending those old letters to you. Think I told you there is some cards in there from some of the bridge gang. Got a nice letter from Coe today. That’s all I’ve got so far. Isn’t get any yesterday. Coe says that Aunt Pauline told her that she thought I had an awful sweet wife. Now weren’t that nice, I suppose right away you’ll swell right up. She’s not the only one what thinks that tho.

Sure is cold today. Most froze to death this morning. All the clothes we have with us we got on and that isn’t much. Wore my raincoat this morning mostly to keep warm although it did rain a little.

We really got a little bum on yesterday afternoon. Lee, Close, Kelly and I. We got rid of a quart almost afore we went to town. Got in town and managed a nuther pint. I really didn’t hit it very hard. Lee and Kelly did tho. We tried to go to the show and they were all full. We ate at the High Hat and about nine o’clock we ate again at the Arcadia. By that time Kelly and Close were ready to come back to camp so we did. Lee and Kirk found Willy so they stayed in. Kelly don’t look so good this morning. The rest withstood it okay.

That package of letters will come collect as that was the only way I could do it. The Red Cross is taking care of them and all packages are sent collect. Hope you got ‘nuff money.

Signed the payroll today. We just got a partial pay of ten bucks but I’ve only got 4.52 more coming anyway. How would you like to work a month for $14.52? It’ll probably be enough for anything I want.

Well, kid, guess this will have to be a short one. Did you have a good time with Mel. Are she spread out any? I sure love you and miss you.

So long now.
