Dearest Gee.

Well, I finally caught up with a mail call. I’ve been sweating it out for the last few days. Couldn’t think of anything to write about so I just had to have a letter to answer a few questions. I got your Monday letter of Oct. 18, also one from Sis, and one from Hilah. She was telling me all about the new baby. Says she’s got three now because Jack is in bed with a cold. He must get those things every winter, don’t he? Guess she really liked the little “whatsit” you got for the baby. She said she was gonna send me a photograph of it all dolled up, if the pictures turned out good.

Yes, I got your ten bucks okay and signed a card to that effect. I expect you have the card by now tho. Managed to get rid of it too but I think we have a pay day coming up. We’d better have.

About all I’ll need dough for is cigs and razor blades, etc.

My cold is all gone now but I’m still having to work on my face a little. Stubborn dang thing. Haven’t had time to hit sick call as much but I’ll get her fixed.

Did you get all those old letters I sent yet. You’ll know when you do because you’ll have to pay the charges. Think I told you the Red Cross was taking care of our packages for us.

We’re just busy as little bees and getting along find. Haven’t had a chance to write Erv or Chick yet and give them my address. We might get a new APO number, I don’t know yet.

Well, kid, guess this will be all now. Don’t worry and take care of yourself. Be good and I sure love you and miss you.

So long now.
